In Their Words

The College of Education prepares students to become leaders

I chose the M.Ed. EACS program at OU because I believe they have the best staff to teach the content needed to become a great educational administrator and leader. Connecting with fellow classmates in group activities was very valuable since we are all from very different areas of the state and country and we work in different environments. This degree has helped me be a better leader for my teacher team and step into a new position that demands quality leadership. If someone is considering enrolling at OU, I would tell them to just do it! It's been a great experience and I don't regret it.

As part of a cohort style program, I have been able to make strong connections with my classmates, often working on group assignments and projects together. I am confident that my time spent at OU has helped me define my career path and strengthened my skills so I can be success in my career.

Dr. Daniel Hamlin was able to provide applicable lessons in his Research Literacy course. He was always available to answer questions, email lesson extension opportunities, and offer advice for his courses and beyond. Additionally, he was able to provide some helpful guidance on furthering my education with an Ed.D. after I complete my Masters program through OU. I am grateful for the interactions that I have had with fellow students in my program, but I have been blown away by the dedication and availability of the staff.
